Oftentimes we forget to do them, or just figure no one wins so we throw out the receipts. But I can tell you that people do win! In the last 2 years I have seen 3 lucky winners in my Facebook contesting group! These receipt surveys are really worth doing.

Download the app and upload your receipts to earn free Amazon money. You can also complete surveys to earn. The receipts you are going to upload are receipts from purchases made off of Amazon. This means not your Amazon receipts, you upload other receipts from shopping you have done.
There are limited spots so I can't promise you will be accepted into the program but it can't hurt to try. I got accepted right away. You sign in with your Amazon account information. If you don't have an Amazon account its free to make one.
